Wilson Pedrazas Concert

Wilson Pedrazas is a gifted violinist who is at ease in a vast array of musical endeavors. He performs as a concert soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and concertmaster leading orchestras in the symphonic and operatic repertoire. He performs regularly throughout Latin America, the United States and Europe.

Mr. Pedrazas has served as concertmaster of the National Lyric Opera of New York under Maestro Michael Recchiuti. He has worked and been associated with the Portland Symphony, Boston Ballet, Springfield Symphony, Boston Lyric Opera, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Vermont Symphony, Glimmerglass Opera of New York and Brazilian Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Pedrazas holds a Bachelor’s degree “Summa Cum Laude” and a Master’s degree from Boston University where he was a full scholarship student in the class of Professor Roman Totenberg

Kathleen Forgac, pianist, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Caltech and received her Master’sDegree in piano performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Jacob Maxin. She has performed in many solo recitals and chamber music concerts and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in California, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She played concerts with violinist Wilson Pedrazas in the XVIIth Festival Internacionale in Trujillo, Peru. Among her awards are a silver medal from the Royal Society of the Arts in London, second place in the International Piano Recording Competition, and the Blossom School Accompanist Award. She is the rehearsal pianist for Opera51 in Concord. Ms. Forgac is on the faculty of the Russian School of Mathematics in Lexington. She resides in Winchester with her husband Mike.

Elliott Markow, violinist, is a native of the Boston area. His first solo appearance, at age eleven, was with the Boston Pops. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University. which he attended on a full four-year merit scholarship. While still at the university, Mr. Markow became a member of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and a substitute member of the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony. His teachers included William Kroll, Emanuel Borok, Beryl, and legendary Jascha Heifetz. ( Mr. Markow was a member of the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra where he was a member of both the first violin section (including as acting Assistant Concertmaster) and the viola section. His numerous solo appearances include the first American orchestral performance of Paganini’s “La Primavera”. Recordings include two CD’s with the New Orleans Novelty Orchestra and a CD of the Walter Damrosch Violin Sonata. Mr. Markow is former Concertmaster of Symphony New Hampshire and maintains a private teaching studio.
